That's a good buck for 2 years ago. If it is over 200 now, it was sure a shame for the guy who shot it to lose it. But I have seen many such cases where poor shot placement left little or no bloodtrail and no deer found. We have also had many times where a buck has gone onto adjacent properties, where we could not get permission to go get or look for the deer. At that point the deer is history until someone else finds it. A buck that big deserves a better shot placement. Why take a risky shot on a awesome buck like that. We have taken 2 bucks over 200 in the last 2 years in Il and Mo and found them both, because of good shots. I say congrats to the kids on a good find...LOL

You got that right DD, I would be out there until the police came looking for me, then I would ask them to help. But, I suppose I do that with any deer,because score isn't the sole purpose.
