#1
Well, went out to my collect treestands this past weekend and it finally happened. Someone stole a 15' ladder stand and a gorilla King Kong that I had out side by side for my son and I. this was on private land where no one else but me and 1 buddy have permission to be. Makes me want to start devising booby traps so the next would be thief gets a lifetime lesson!

Man, sorry to hear that. They must have had some time to take those. I wish someone could catch one of these thief-scumbags in the act and beat thembeyond recognitionwith one of the stands!

This may be alittle work, but if having tree stands stolen is a problem it's worth it. Buy a cheap 35mm trail cam with a on/off switch on the bottom, mount it at stand hieghtin a tree 10-15ft away from your stand. You'll need a pole of some kind to leave by the tree to turn the camera off when you get in your stand and vise versa when you get out. With no steps to get to it, and being 10-15ft away so the person can't here it, you'll have some good evidence to maybe get them back. I know someone trying it rightnow. Think the photo would win any contest?

Normal around here. I cant even leave a folding chair in the woods. But half the time they just bust the chair up. The past 5 years i lost 2 pop up blinds and at least a dozen chairs

In 2 years I had 14 stands stolen. I had all my chained to the tree and they brought bolt cutters along. A guy got busted for selling stolen tree stands on ebay and I havent had 1 stolen since. I don't even have to chain them on..

That sucks dude. I had 8 ladder stands stolen on my land a couple years ago. I had them all setup, trimmed, and ready to go. Opening day of bowseason they were ALL gone. SCUMBAGS!!!!!
