I bought some scent bombs and was just wondering with any kind of deer pee; how long befor you hunt should you put it out? A day or overnight. I usually put it out will walking to my stand right before I hunt. Is this the correct thing to do? ALSO the broad heads that spread open when they hit the deer, are they worth the money? I have the normal 3 bladed ones but was thinking about buying some of the kind that fly open. Thanks

let someone else answer the scent question. the broadhead question has probably been answered 12's of times on bowhunting.com.
Are the mechanical broadheads worth it? Sometimes. They won't kill your deer any deader. Some say they fly better but you will find different opinions on that. My outfitter suggested you want to exceed 250 fps before you use mechanicals.
Common consensus is they may not penetrate as well and the fixed blades. However if you are cranking lots of power that may not be an issue for you. I shoot fixed. Does this help?

I am pulling back 80 pounds so I think the power and speed is there. I am not going ot waste my money. What would you do if you seen someone else's stand on your land and they didn't ask permission? The reason I ask is b/c I need to move closer to this woods that this Buck is coming out of and the land is not mine and I don't know who owns it. I think I am jsut going to put it up anyway. Its only around 50 yards from my land he shouldn't make a big deal about it. right?

I mess with scent alot and need to stop. Have had deer come in on it but you don't need it...if you want to use scent then use itduring the rut. Try pure tarsal gland (no black licorice additive like alot of companies do). Buckstop 2000 proof is a decent estrous doe scent. Don't use scents in the early season. Nov. is a good time.

If I catch somebody on my land hunting without written permission the Game Warden will be called. If you are hunting on land without permission it is illegal and you could/should get a ticket. Don't take a chance, go to the property appraisers office and find out who the landowner is and try to get their written permission.
