Hey Doc, I didn't know you hunted Alberta 4 times! Other than that THICK brute have you gotten any others up there?
Early I have hunted Canada 4 times ..Alberta twice and Saskatchewan twice ... I took a fair 10 pt my first hunt in Alberta in 2000 ...and the non-typical in 2004.

I would have to guess that he "let him walk" because he had no clean shot. If that is the case, you are the man i know that there is a few people out there that would shoot at it if there was a cement wall betweenthemand the deer. that is a great buck, and why are the crosshairs in the pic?

Well if THAT is his rifle scope that the picture was taken through then shots don't get much better then that on a 190 class buck ...looks like it was close enough to pet !

Srry guys i should have clarified that i was guiding for one of my clients at the time we were hunting moose unfortunetly and he didnt have the proper tag and i am not legally eligable to hunt while guiding as far as the aim on this bedded buck through myscope u ever try using yur digital camera through yur scope just so yur buddies know yur not claiming the one that got away story again he was probably top ten in the deer i let walk this fall some of witch werescary big i seen a230+ mule deer on this same hunt he was dwarfin a massive 6 point typical that was probably over 35 wide i can asure u my hunters enjoy the time spent in the woods hunting with me but i anted to sher this picture with everyone if he keeps up the growth he has over the last 3 yrs he will be a potential world record in the archery catagory and i have bin set up on him and bin chasing him for 3 yrs hopefully fall 06' ill catch up to him.

I did watch that deer that day for over 2 hours first time i ever watched any deer be it a buck doe or fawn fall asleep before my own eyes thats truly a sight to see head rolls eyesflickingi probably had 50 clean shots on him that day starting with a 60 yard broadside mouthfull of grass shot and when he was bedded in these pics he had some amazing cover the pictures were taken at 93 yards me and my hunter took them nearly two hourds after i was watching him the first time that day i took him of his moose blind to show him this spectacular animal and he was glad i did.

Here is aother shot not zoomed in u can clearly see i was using my scope of my rifle not one of these fancy new scope cameras.

Ahh i would pass on him hes not that big. I think a Jackalope has bigger antlers than that. Just kidding. That is one hell of a buck and hopefully you run into him again.
