I carry a Buck Alpha folder w/ gut hook. I love the blade and I use it for everything, but the clean up on it is almost impossible. Too many nooks and crannies. I also carry a fixed blade Buck 118 that is more for boning. I also usually carry a Leatherman on me that is more for "just in case" situations.

I just use a good stanley knife. I tried all those exspensive hunting knifes and thought they worked ok, but when I lost my last one I went back to the truck and found my stanley and put a new blade in it and it razor sharp everytime. I also carry a seven inch narrow blade filliet knife for going up the bunghole.

I got my new carry knife in today ..I bought it off Ebay its a German Boker Lockback folding knife with genuine stag handles ...may this is a REAL knife !
