SHOOT A DOE!!!! If you want meet that bad why don't you shoot a doe instead af all of those little bucks? Do you not see any does?

I don't care if DD does shoot 20 for the year, good on him.
But, I wouldn't be shooting some of these small bucks. Give this lastbuck anotheryear or two an hehad the potential to be very nice. Give the bucks a chance ata year or two to mature a bit more.
Shoot the does. If the numbers in the alabama areas where he hunts are anything like over here in east mississippi, not only are there too many deer, but also the buck to doe ratio is out of whack. We really need to get the doe population down. Besides, a 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 year old doe will taste muuuuch better.

Hank that is a very good point but how do you know this is NOT considered a "good" buck for this area? I mean I hunt on just 80 acres ...that joins a housing development on one end and two small farms on the other where about 7 or 8 teenage boys hunt and kill mostanything they see... and at the other there are two older men who shoot a lot of doe's off the little farm they own .. I have hunted this 80 acre plot for three years and this is only the 3rd deer I have ever taken off of it ..so with all due respect Hank this is a pretty good buck for this 80 acres in my opinion thus the reason I took it ...

Congrats man! I stil say that you need to work your butt off to get at least one more. Stopping on 13 is bad mojo for the hunting gods.
