I can't believe you can shoot one a day there. That's insanity! Do the does give birth to 8 fawns at a time or what?
You have another dilema. You have to either quit or shoot at least 2 more deer. I don't know if you're supersticious or not but I'd hate to be stuck on #13 for a year!

Seriously: I say if your land produce it, you should use it!
With no natural enemies in play I guess a 40% killing ratio a year in a balanced deer herd would be appropriate for maintaining numbers.Thats what I think should matter, not us other jelous bastards opinions

Keep up the good work DD. If you or someone you know eats the meat then buy some more ammo and go at it. Up here in ohio we are only allowed three, but if the limits were like yours I would kill alot more cause alot of my faimly think that if I get deer that means you are the deer donation master. I would keep up the good work, and the good signature pics. When people give you crap i would say they are just jealous.

I am happy for you and if I could Legally, get rid of the meat, and not get tired of it) I would be out there too. It just really doesn't affect me if you shoot 100. I'd be interested if you showed pics. Give 'er heck!

Well actually I dont have a clue as of how reproductive whitetail are so I should probably shut up but I wont. Just assuming that itis like deer here wherean average doe gets two fawn a year and the only cause of death is you. Well that builds numbers but not infinite so if your calculated herd is large enough maybe you should keep at it and otherwise not.
If my memory serves me right you predicted that you would have less time to hunt next season so maybe you should just suck every last drop out of it this year.
All in all its your call.
