Update on the thread "Did I blow my chance on this buck"
#1
Well, I'm not sure if it is the same Buck or not since I get so dang nervous everytime I see a deer! Last night I figured I go back this morning. When the alarm clock went off, I decided I wasn't going to go this morning
After laying back down for about 30 minutesIwoke up by a dang rooster. The darn thing wouldn't shut up. So, I figured God must want me to hunt today. I went (around 6:40)and set up in the same place as yesteday. This time I faced the trail and climbed a little bit higher. I sat there for about 3 hours hitting my can every now and then and laying down some Tinks 69. About 9:50 or so I put out more Tinks 69 and hit the can a few times. A few minutes later I hear something moving around and heading towards me. Right away I new it was a deer. Within a few seconds here came this buck across the creek and headed right up the hill I was on. I start to pull my bow back and get about half-way when my arms go to jello. I'm pulling as hard as I can and the bow wont go back! I couldn't believe this was happening to me! I always laughed at the story of seeing a Buck and not being able to pull your bow back. I'll never laugh at that story again! I finally get the bow back and wait for a shot. The hole time I'm nervous as you know what. I finally get a broad side shot. My nerves hooked me right up as I shot over his back at 20yds or so. At this time Im about to cry and very diappointed in myself. Right away I grab my can and hit it hoping to stop him. I could hear him stop and rustling around back behind some brush and trees. He finally comes back, but heads off to his right again I hit the can but he kept going. I though great you blew it again. At this time I was so down on myself I didn't know if I'd ever hunt again, lol. Well about an hour or so later and some more Tinks with a few can calls I hear something behind me. I turn around and here he comes again. This is exactlywhy I stayed in the stand I figured he might circle around and try again. This time I have no problem at all pulling my bow back. As he's coming up the hill he stops and is looking right down my arrow and into my eyes, I didn't move a muscle. He finally moves and I slowly follow him looking for my shot. He stops in the exact same place I missed him the first time. This time I slowed down and made sure to look through the peep all the while Imshaking. I shot and it's a hit! Thank God I hit him this time I surley would have jumped out of the tree if I blew 3 chances in 2 days. Needless to say it's my first Buck (11 pointer) I'll post some pics when I get them. Thanks to everyone for replying to my previous thread and keeping me motivated to get back out there!

That's one of the coolest deer stories I ever heard! Congradulations, It should be a little easier for you now that you got one under your belt. Especially a nice 11 pointer. Good job.
