I'm the furtherest thing from a rack hunter and am indifferent about "management." However, if UTM is dealing with a bunch that likes to take 400+ yard potshots at deer just to see if they can hit them, I wouldn't begrudge him the right to vent a little bit. And if folks are doing stuff like this and not retrieving their deer, UTM certainly has a right to say something or report them no matter whose land it is.

Well for one, the complicated crap is going to make sure we have plenty of deer for our kids and grandkids to hunt. If ppl just like to hunt for meat then thats ok. But when you have alot of ppl out in the woods that just shoot into moving bushes and/or don't care about the deer then thats when I have a problem. I would enjoy participating in some wildlife mgt hobbies.
