ORIGINAL: DannyD

The amber ones I picked up at the gun store tonight are shatter proof but not polarized. I'll be trying them this Friday.

Yes, Im familiar with polarized lenses while fishing and have them. I never thought of them for hunting though. Sounds like something I need to give a try

The Wal-Mart here in Land-O-Lakes have the Remingtons!

Thanks reb,
Ill look at wally world here and see what they have. Picking up the deer earlier especially during bow season will be very helpful

In addition to what everyone else mentioned I have started to bring a cell phone. You might ask why, but I only turn it on to call out and tell the wife I won't be home until I shoot a deer or to call for help dragging out a big bruin.

My cell phone does not work where I hunt at. One other thing I bring is illuminated tacks in case I want to move my stand. YOu get 50 for 2.00 at Wally World. I understood this question to be asking about the extras. Here is everything for me.
Note I walk a long ways and strive to travel light. I plan to leave binocs and Bible home on long walks.So here is my light list.

Underwear
t shirt
Camo pants
2 pair of socks to go with my La Crosse boots { Rubber}
I put my harness on now.
Then...one light camo shirt{ it's Florida}
Vest { in the pockets...2 calls , lure, head set flashlight , slim buck knife, plastic gloves. cough drops}
30-30 Marlin.9 rounds on stock sleeve
The harness rope and gun rope are already on the stand.{ Which is in the swamp already}
Hunting WMA / License stay in my wallet which is in my buttoned back pocket.
