the spot I hunt is a very hot spot, been so for about five years. It seems like after I killed a buck this year that I just have not seen anything. I killed a buck about two weeks into the season. I've been back about three times and have seen absolutley nothing. Where did they go, it is very unusal for me not to see something in this spot.
Another thing I have noitced is there are not as many hunters hunting deer this year, atleast around my area. they've all took up duck hunting. So I thought this would be even more benefical to me seeing more deer.

As the fall progresses the deer feeding habits change, also some food may not be there year to year. It's possible that the food source in your area dried up and they went elsewhere to feed. Right behind my house is usually a decent spot to hunt, this year its the PITS. We had some sort of oak virus that kept all the oaks from having acorns in this area. Not a single deer to be found, we have snow on the ground now, have for a couple weeks, not a SINGLE track to be found where its usually loaded.
