Default hornady lever revolution!!!

Have any of you guys seen these new shells that hornady has came out with? They look awesome, they took a few of the popular lever loads and put ballistic tips on them. Go to www.hornady.com and as soon as the website loads up there is a big article on them.

I've heard of them but never shot them. I work in a sporting goods store and have heard a lot of guys say that they are not as good as advertised. But like I said I have never shot them personally so I cant say for sure.

I just read about these new bullets in Guns and Ammo they look like a good thing. I'm not going to go out and buy a lever gun to find out though.

I wish I could find a place locally that sells them. I'd like to give them a try.

They say the tips are hard enough not to go flat but soft enough not to ignite the other shells.

I used my old 336 30/30 as my primary weapon this season which I will probably never do again, but I will definitely try the new hornady bullets. I used 150 gr Federal Classics and Winchester hollow points. Both bullets failed on game and required follow up shots. That is completely unacceptable especially since all shots were 65 yards and less. This occurred on two different deer and two different bullet types. If and when I do pull my 336 back out, the Hornady will be my bullet of choice.

I have been looking for them since the article in the rifleshooter. I called all the big stores and the local ones. It seems not until mid january will they show up on shelves. It will even be longer if you are hoping to reload them like I am.
