RE: hornady lever revolution!!!

I bought a box a week ago at Gander Mountain in Beaumont Texas. I paid $14.99 for the box of shells. My purpose for buying them was just out of pure curiousity. I have not gotten a chance to shoot them yet. I did load them in my Marlin just to see how they cycled. I wanted to see if the tips would deform by loading the magazine tube full. They cycled very smooth, and the tips all came out as sharp as they went in. The box says to not leave them loaded for long periods of time because it could deform the tips.

Retrieverman,
My favorite load in my Marlin is the plain jane Winchester Power Points. They have never failed on a deer for me. I am not buying these new Hornadys for any reason other than experimental reasons, and it gives me another reason to go shoot. It would be pretty neat thoughto see how they perform on a deer.

I have a .270 for my long range hunting but hey, If I get uncanny groups at 200-250 yards then who knows. I might just sight the Marlin about 3 inches high at 100.

My bet though is that I continue to hunt with the $8.00 a box Winchesters.
