I don't feel bad about shooting does. The state has extended the seaso by almost two months for the last several years for doe only. To many hunters won't shoot does and their numbers grow way out of contrl. I have taken six does this season and still have two tage. Plus I could buy two more tage if I had freezer room. Or if I can get enough of these canned in time. We love the deer meat and it makes up 80 percent of out meat meals. I shot one more but it was hit by another hunter first so I gave it to him.
I understand JB...I know they need to be thinned out andlike I said earlier we eat them to but I always think that maybe this doe might have had some yearlings bedded up somewhere close or maybe she was carring a pontentalboonier in her belly ... I suppose this late in the year if they have yearling they are old enough to get buy but it just makes me feel a littlebad ... now don't tell any of the guys on here ...I have a rep to uphold ..

Hey DD its me again. Just wanted to say im proud of you for taking a doe. I understand that I may have come off a little over eager on you. I just think that if there is a doe and a buck thats not a shooter you shoot the doe. I have taken nine deer this year and 7 are does of which 6 are adult does. The 2 bucks I took are a 177" nontypical 13 pointerand a main frame 10 with a kicker that goes 138". Good hunting and I hope you get some more does.

B.F. I am living a nice life right now but I can assure you I had to work for it ... I spent over 25 years selling cars for a living ... 6 days a week ..normally from 8.30 to 8.30 ...never being off for a Saturday ...having to work Christmas Eve's and N.Y.Eve ... went through two marrieges ... yep I amtaking it pretty easy right now but that could change anytime ...my wife may get tired of having a "kept"man LOL
