None of the poll answers fit, so I didn't vote! We all hunt for different reasons. I hunt for the peace, and enjoyment of nature, stress relief, the freezer full of delicious meat, AND an occasional good rack!
I really do enjoy the outdoors, and I enjoy just about everything involved with hunting! The scouting, sitting in the woods, and watching wildlife in general!
But lets face it, if it wereJUST the "nature experience," we could enjoy the same things without a hunting liceince, and weapon! We'd probably have a more convienient time than 30 minutes before sunrise, to 30 minutes after sunset too!
For me, and probably for most of us, its not all about the "kill" either! But realistically, if we never made a shot, or never even got at least a glimpse of the game that we pursue, hunting would soon becomeno fun at all!
Finally, whether we hunt for fun, food, or trophy, most all us share the common love for wildlife, and outdoors!

I hunt mostly for the meat but also to spend a week at the hunting camp with old friends and fellow hunters. We have an old school house fixed up as a hunting camp. Has been there for almost 100 years. ( I havn't been there quite that long)

My answer isnt there either. Im like James and enjoy the company but theres far more to it. I cant explain but lets just say when I am tracking a buck on a really cold snowy day is one of the few times I REALLY feel alive! Sometimes I win..most of the time he wins......

Could that poll be more vague? This is not a subject for a poll in my opinion since every person has their own personal reasons. I love the outdoors, the challenge of the hunt, watching animals in their natural enviroment, times spent with my fellow hunters, obviously love venison, definately relieves stress, and helps put life back into perspective just to name a few things. I'm sure that isn't even the tip of the iceberg, too many reasons to list.
