Moments you live for
I may be old fashioned, but I live for these great moments:
1) Stopping on the way to my stand to admire the stars for a minute
2) The moment I decide "He's a shooter."
3) Catching my breath after dragging my buck out by myself
4) Sharing stories with other hunters at the check-in station
5) Kicking back and relaxing after cleaning and butchering my own deer

I can agree on most of that. However neither state where I do most of my hunting has check in stations. We just have a post season report card to fill out. Also it doesn't need to be a buck to give me the feeling of a successful hunt and at my age, I will be glad to have some help dragging one out.

RE: Moments you live for
1- walking through the woods and hearing the birds and other sounds
2- sitting up against a tree and feeling the whole world come off my shoulders
3- feeling every muscle in my body expand and tighten when a deer strolls within killing range
4- butchering my dear with my father or friends
5- sinking my teeth into the tenderloin for the first time

1. Hearing the alarm clock go off the morning of a big hunt.
2. Hearing one of the boys make some noisein a drive.
3. The "Didya get him?" .... "Yep he's down"
4. Fresh venison liver at deer camp.
5. Hearing everyones story about the same deer you just got in a chase.
To many to mention! These are just some of them. I live for the whole experience, if something was missing it wouldn't be the same!

1) Getting to the "hunting shack" before a mornings hunt.
2) Sitting in a stand long before dawn, just listening to everything going on.
3) Heading back to camp to report a succesful hunt.
4) Cracking jokes at other hunting buddies for missing their big buck.

After shooting a deer, touching it for the first time and knowing you are the first person to do so.

1. I love hearing that ole Tom gobble to wake the woods up on a beautiful spring morning.
2. The lack of sleep before a big hunt.
3. The feeling after you know you have pulled off a perfectly placed shot.
4. Bragging rights and pics to back em up.

1) Hearing a hunting partner let out a loud "Wooo hooo"
2) Walking through the woods in the morning...especially when there's snow on the ground with a full moon
3) Waiting 'til first light when the woods come alive
4) Hearing those first steps of deer feet slowly coming through the woods
5) Hearing a Gobbler break the first silence in the morning
6) Hearing a covey of quail rise to go out to their feeding spot
7) Man, what don't I love???
8) One more....being done with finals for the last time in my life...oh wait...still have two more to go! haha (2nd to last one at 8 am...ugh)
