in my part of the country people hit deer all the time even in broad daylight. I've gotten up very early and driven a couple hours for some hunts and seen literally 1,000 deer in a 2 hour drive.

Yeah, around here deer-car encounters are very common. I have hit two, one a big mule deer in CO doing about 60 at night. Lets just say it got REAL dark REAL fast! The second was last year a week before opening day. That one was during the day. When they jump out you rarely have time to even hit the brakes, it happens that fast.

what are the odds of just driving along and a deer lands in your lap???
