Just giving a quick shout to the Hinesville boys, I married my wife in 1981 and moved from Cola. SC the next day to Hinesville. We lived right outside the front gate of Ft. Stewart. I worked over in Midway and found a little piece of land over there to hunt, killed a cowhorn there. The move only lasted about 8 months though, we both longed for home and went back to Columbia and our friends.
Can you still get yeast biscuits from the truck stop/diner on 17A north of Midway?

Yeeeehawwwwww!!!!!!

I live in middle TN. We have ave size deer. My 8 point this year weighed 225 on the hoof and 180 dressed. That is a big deer around here. I have seen them come in at 250 on the hoof. Not bad for the south.

Is that a dog box in the back of that truck? And are those dog pens behind the truck? Was this deer taken while a pack of Beagles or Walkers was burnin' his butt?
Man I hope so! It's hard to get a big buck with dogs. Congratulations on the Buck.

Rem7400, is Ida Mae Joe's the place your talking about. If so its still there and better. Havent been there in a while but its definately a good place to grub. I hunt Ft. Stewart alot too. Alot of deer there. I hunt near townsend also in a club out there. Heres another pic of my 8 pt that shows the whole deer,
