Default Big coyote

This guys every bit of 85-90 lbs. Missing a bunch of teeth. He came cruising by at about noon gave me a30 yd. shot. This is the first yote I have taken. Are they any good for anything, pelt? He's probably an old timer, missing hair in a few patches, should I consider a mount? I will post some pic's when I get a chance. Thanks for any reply's. NYH

Nice job, that sounds like a MONSTER coyote. How long (nose to tail) was it? What did you shoot it with?

Shot with my Remington .270, The biggest yote I have everseen, I had to really check him out& make surehe wasn't a straydog. He was on a dead run.
Nose to tail I'm estimating 4 1/2-5'. Gonna take pic's& weigh his stinky but tomorrow. PEE-EWWW[:'(]

Can't wait to see this pic. Here in Kentucky we have alot of yotes, but haven't seen many this year. Seems like bobcat sightings are on the rise though.

That's a nice one. I would see about getting him mounted, I saw a cool mount of a coyote attacking a rabbit. The only problem is that maybe the hole is too big for the taxidermist to patch up. Maybe not though, start a thread on the taxidermy page and see what they say.

I was getting ready to say...I have a 65 lb dog just about that size so I thought 85-90 lbs was a stretch. Thats a nice yote though. I sure would love to kill me one like that.Congrats.
