Default I missed, will he be back?

I shot at a nice big buck at 25yds with my ML on Wed.I walked up on himwhile he wastending to a scrape beside some thick pines.Heblew at meand went about 10yds and stopped. I stood still and after about 10 min he began walking towards me while sticking his neck out trying to smell me. I shot and the bullet hit a small tree in front of the deer and went threw the tree and cutthe treein half. [:@] I looked for blood/hair and could not find any. I guess the bullet went off course once it hit the tree. After the shot I watched the deer run down a hill into a bottom and stop and look back in my direction. He eventually just walked off. After about 35 min some house dogs came threw the bottom barking and I am really sure it was the same deer that was running away from the dogs when he came by me at full speed. Would this nice buck hang around the same area or even visit the same scrape again?

I'd say he'll be back! It may take a week, or two, and then again he may be back tomorrow!

That's because it's another one of those questions that require the Lord himself to answer.

As for us mere mortals.....................yes and.....no.
