Out here in Wa. we have antler restrictions in some GMU's, mostly a 3 pt minimum...meaning on one side....hence 3X3...4X3..etc. The orgin I dont know. Things that make you go Hmmm.

If you called it an 8 point in Montana you'd probably get laughed at. Same thing if you called a group of bucks by saying " I saw 3 buck" or "I saw 3 doe". I mean we have singular and plural nouns for a reason. The best reason I can come with for why we call what you call an 8 point a 4 point is to differentiate between a typical rack with matching points and a non-typical. I mean would you call a buck with 2 points on one side and 6 points on the other an 8?

So I guess on a so called 10 pointer that the G2 on the left would really be a G7?...

Actually we have an awesome football team. We're #3 in the nation for I-AA, which if I'm not mistaken is what bamba is ranked as well
