RE: Easiest way to skin a deer?
I'm for the vehicle method: make circular cuts around all four
quarters (at the joint) and then cut in front of the ears about a inch
or two and bring cut straight down the jaw line heading back towards
the field dreesing cut and the neck. The animal should have it's back facing the vehicle of choice and then start pulling forward slowly.
no nicks, not much hair, and no hand cramps. I like the no hand cramps part of it best.

I concur, if reasonably fresh the knife time & entire procedure really cuts down. I also find it faster if the animal is hanging vs on the ground, of which I prefer head down!

The easiest way I've found is to skin the animal while it's still warm. You don't have to exert yourself and there is limited need for a knife. The hide peals off easily. If you allow the animal to rigor you've just created labor for yourself.
