i see where i was wrong now. your score is correct, 113 plus change. "If G-4 is missing, take H-4 halfway between G-3 and tip of main beam."-Straight outta Records of North American Whitetail Deer, Fourth Edition

you added thecircumference between the third and fourth points, which would be the circumference of between your G-3 and main beam tip. because you have an 8 point buck, you'd measure between the bases and brow tine, between brow tine and G-2, and between g-2 and g-3.
I don't follow Deerslayer???? According to the B&C scoring system you get credit for 4 - circumferences (H measurements). On a 4 point this measurement comes at thehalf waypoint between G3 and the tip of the beam. Instead of the narrowest portion between the G3 and G4 position. Assuming he did this correctly I would say his gross score is 113 1/8!
