Private and public, but all fenced even public. We have many that are 600,000 and 500,000 acres and they are fenced. Deer will jump fences, fences are to mark the Wild Life Management Boundries only. The deer jump my fences allnight long.

We hunt 120 acres of private land of heavy woods, bordered by 1000 acres of forest that is only accesible from our end, so we have a pretty good deal going.

Hunt a 2,000 acre family lease. 1,000 acres hardwood and pine and 1,000 acres of "swamp". No fences anywhere, except for about 15 feet of old barbed wire fence that I ripped my pants on last season. Good luck on your seasons this year.

one 12 acres tract that i personally own.(20% hardwood , 30% pine , 10% heavy brush , 40% open land)
one 60 acre private with barbwire fence (90% hardwoods , 5% water , 5% food plots)
one 50 acre 100% hardwood with a creek through it.
one 400 acre (60% mountain , 20% pine , 20% hardwood)

one the last 3 there's only 1 other hunter besides me hunting it, so i got some nice pieces of land , this is my first year on deer so i'm prolly only going to stick with the 50 acre and my own land... no time to scout the other area's.
