Truthfully, my hunting this year will break down as follows:

Still hunting: 60%
Ground standhunting: 35%
Other: 5%.

I hunt too many different habitat types to stick on one style. Whatever works. In big woods, you're going to still hunt more. In funnel/farm country, stands take the lead. I'm in MT.

I gun hunt out of an elevated, heated enclosed blind. I will also hunt of the ground or a tree stand during gun season. I don't like drives and am not really good enough to stalk. I don't like shooting at moving or alerted deer. I prefer the snyper technique myself.

Bow hunting is done from a ladder stand or climber, I would try a pop up blind and have done it off the ground as well.

I hunt southern michigan in the shotgun only areas on private land. Either an inline or a dedicated slug gun (H&R Slug Gun Deluxe, first year with it).

i have never used a stand or blind. we do havetwo deer stands on our place but i've never used them. if you concider a ford f150 as a blind then i guess i have used a blind. my deer last season, i was shooting over the hood ofa pick-up.
