All my rifles have scopes with see through mounts. I use the open sights when necessary. 3 years ago I shot my biggest buck to date with open sights because I had snow in my scope.

On my favorite rifle, the model 700, 30-06, I have the Wialliams Peep sight on it. I'm starting to have difficulty with it as I have a problem in focusing my front sight with my rear and then the target at the same time in trying to bring them in to focus together. I don't really care for a scope as I have a problem in locating game fast enough in using one. I guess I like using my bow more as I can at least see out to 30 yrds.
