Bad day at the deer lease

Bad day at the deer lease
Well i set up my feeder, stand, and trail camera 2 weeks ago. Yesterday i drove up the road to my stand and I noticed that the fence around my feeder was caved in. I got out and found out that the stupid %^&*$# cows bent the fence post! They ate all the corn and almost ruined the feeder from leaning on the poles. Then forthe trail camera. I have a cheap $50 stealth cam and i put 36-pic rolls in it. The number of pictures that it took was 99. All I could think was WTF? So I went and got them developed and all the picutres were taken the night I left and there was nothing there. Any suggestions on the camera or how to keep the cows out?

What type of fence are you using? If your not using barbwire try it, or simply use planks instead of fence. If using t-post try installing some wooden posts and planks to keep themout.Good Luck!

I have both cows and goats on my new lease, lucky me. . . .Any way, barbed wire is a must at least a top and bottom strand. Then you need to re-enforce your coner posts with T-post angling away at a 45deg. Next I get some 1/4 rebar and cut that at 48" length and then bang those in between the 8foot t-post that run around the pen. Also set your feeder as to be sure you don't throw corn with in 5 or 6 feet of the fence. The cows will loose interest after a while. That pen will end up looking like fort knox.

The stealth camera has an eventcounter that continues to count even after all the film is used. So in your case, once it got to picture #36, it rewound the film, but it kept a record of how many more times it was triggered up until it reached 99.
I would change it to take 1 photo, with a minimum delay of 10 minutes for your area.
