where to attach rope to bolt action for tree stand
i am new to hanging from trees in light metal frames. i am curious on how to attach my rope to my browning medalion. my buddies use lever actions so they attach them to the lever. where should i attach the rope on the bolt action?

After opening the bolt, I tie the string to the foregrip end of my sling. If you don't have a sling, I would probably tie around the handgrip area.

You have sling posts, just get a couple of sling swivels attach them to the rope run a small triangle up and knot (in the rope). Than just hook on and hoist her up by the posts. This will keep the firearm level, so you don't lower it barrel first or lift it up barrel first.
I know many guys who hoist up by the scope mounts, but I don't like that one to much.
Of course remember to unload and safety on....I know you are a vet, but sometimes the little important things are forgot.
