Default Climbing Treestand

Hey guys. I am going to be purchasing a climbing treestand. I am wondering what climbers you have hade good luck with? I have been eyeing the treelounge. Thanks,

The general answer on the board is that the Summit Viper is hard to beat. If you can get a chance to use the Tree Lounge before you purchase it, I would do so. Just looking at it, especially if you are going to do any bow hunting, the standing platform looks like it would not be comfortable standing on it. I like to stand occasionally while gun hunting. It is 3 or 4 feet away from the tree on the end of the stand. Another thing about the TL is that you buy the basic part and then have to buy all of the add on parts to it. If you take the Summit out of the box you areready to hunt with minor assembly.

Throw another vote in for the Summits. The Viper is the most popular of their stands judging by forum responses but they have a very complete lineup. I bought a Summit Revolution a few years back and love how comfortable it is.

I use a treelounge but only because my friend bought it and lets me use it, he has private land now and does not need it. It is comfortable to sit in and extremely stable climbing and sitting, but it is a little heavy to carry and a pain to get on the tree. The extra attachments for a TL are a must, but I would shop around and see if your friends have stands that you can try out.

I use a Loggy Bayou Illusion and it does the trick for me. it's also a little cheaper than some other stands.

I just got the Buckshot Equalizer and it is worth all $350, the level adjustment is tops , don't understand why more manufacturers don’t' have some form of leveling system.
