Its 425 miles down to my hunting camp. Fuel prices will hurt but when I get there I will stay until I am all through hunting for the season for deer that is. It will keep me from buying anything extra for hunting. I am on a fixed income as well so I have X dollars to spend. What I spend for gas will have to cut other purchases. If prices keep climbing, many will be in the same boat. Its a matter of time before it wrecks the economy. The Dems will be back in 08.

The gas prices will have an effect. I'll probably go less (60 mile round trip) and stay longer when I do go.

It won't change how often I go hunting but it will change the way I do it. The farms I hunt in Ohio are 100 miles round trip from my home inAkron,Ohio. Luckily for me I work in Wooster, OH.Which is within20 miles of where I usually hunt. So I can go after work and it won't hurt the wallet to much. Then on Fridays I can just head down friday night and take my tent and some firewood and sleep in the field. Hmmm... sleeping under the stars by a fire I guess there are worse things. In the end I won't let corprate greed dictate how often I get to enjoy the true passion I have for bowhunting.

I wonder how its going to affect the war in Iraq. After all thats why super bush has sent 1882 U.S. Soldiers to their deaths. Thats not even counting the maimed and shell shocked soldiers that have come home.

Thinkin it might - I for one am guessing the by the time i go muzzleloader hunting in december gas will be over $4 a gallon. Was planning on muley huntin on the far side of the state but might stick to home and shoot me a whitetail instead - 800 mile round trip at 12 mpg (hopefully - 10.86 on the last tank) at $4 is $300 to shoot one deer.....maybe - maybenot - we'll see
