Just wanted some opinions, have been usin my camtacker this year now that I finally have some exclusive hunting rights, the question is do you think that the flash of the camera spooks deer, i imagine it would have to to some extent, but does it spook them to the point that it alters their travel patterns? any experience you might have would be appreciated. thanks

I have some pic's of the same deer on different days.so I would say no. lightning has a flash and it doesn't spook them ?????????
I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest
remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

I always set my Camtrakker on the 30 second delay...I've had
single deer, young bucks and does, take up as many as 8 or
9 pictures at a time, but I've never taken more than one
picture of a mature buck... they are not curious. One
time I had two pics of a mature buck on the same roll of film,
but they were a few days apart. However, I do not think it
will spook them to the point of changing their travel pattern.
Be careful, just before and during hunting season, with the
amount of scent you leave in the area.

I have found that they (deer) don't mind being photographed at all. I have pics of many deer with the following pick being a nose or an ear or even a rack. I have in the past moved my camera because of the same doe and fawns using up all the film in a 1 hour peroid.

I don't think that it bothers anything, but as a rule to myself I never take more than 2 rolls for film in one spot. I keep moving it now and get a much better idea of what is out there. This year I have cought the same 8 pointer on film in two diffrent locations three diffrent times. I got three pics of a dandy 10 point at the end of the roll of film just three weeks ago.
