RE: Anyone know anything about Warren CO Illinois
Warren County is a real sleeper. I lived there for 5 years and saw a number of outstanding bucks taken by friends. (I hunted other counties with family)
I have a buddy who outfits near Avonwhose clients kill great bucks each year. He and his wife are a retired school teachers and Christian folks.
PM me if you'd like his number.
Good luck!

Every county in Illinois has the potential for great deer. Some are better than others but if you're asking because you're buying property to hunt on I'd check with the locals first. Some parts of certain counties are better than others. Find an area with numerous small blocks of woods and/or fallow fields and has some water running through it. If you can find that, you will be alright.

Hey Doc, if you do hunt up here let me know. Warren county isn't that far from me, maybe an hour or so drive. We have some brutes up here. Warren county on average has less than 15 deer per square mile. Which is the same as my county. But just to the east of Warren, they average 15-30 deer per square mile.

Doc, Knox county is just east of Warren. Thats the one that has 15-30 deer per square mile. The county to the east of me is Bureau and also averages 15-30. Drop me an email if you need any info on NR tags or what not.
