Several makers of ammo. make quality ammo. for the .243. Such as Federal, Winchester, Reminton, Nitrex, Hornady, to name a few. Look for at least an 80 gr. bullet or 100 gr., use a bullet that retains it's weight such as partition, Grand slam, core-lokt. Avoid hollow points or v-max, they are not suited for deer sized animals. Also, try to restrict your shooting distance to 200 yrds. or less for large white tails.
