Buck from Mason County, Texas 2004!
I just recently got permission to release some pics of a buck that my friend'syounger brother shot this past season. It was taken from a "low fenced" lease in Mason County, TX, in 2004. I'll try to get more details for y'all soon. I do know it scored over 174" Net B&C. The only pics I have are ones that I took after the deer was back home at my buddy's house. (he was the only one with the enough freezer space for the head and rack) Sorry, but I don't have any pics of the buck with the fella that shot him, just his brother, me, and my little boy. The name of thehunter that shot him is Grant Kinchen. The first pic is one with my boy standing in front of the rack. I tried to make it look likehe was growingthe rack. Sorry about the quality of the pics but it's all I have right now.
I'll TRY to have more info by tomorrow.

Thats an awesome buck, especially for Mason county. That area is not known for producing deer like very often. Dont get me wrong, they got some nice deer there, but that deer is a true bruiser.

Yeah, sorry about the red eyes.
I tried getting in touch with my buddy to get more details, but he hasn't called me back yet.
texhookem, you reminded me of something else about this deer. "Supposedly", this deer is the largest buck taken in Mason County, from a low fenced ranch, in nearly 100 years.
