Navy ranch in texas

I heard from my uncle that there is a ranch in texas that retirees of the Navy and their FAMILIES, keyword families:D can hunt on. Is this true? My dad retired just this last year and it would be awesome to hunt in Texas.

Gee, I lived and worked on the Naval air station in Corpus and Beeville. Never heard of a place like that in the 80's

It is called the Escondito Ranch and it is located about 90 miles from Kingsville, Tx. That is some pretty good hunting. I do not know of all the details. Heres a website that talks about it. It seems to me that you would have to be working on the Naval Air Base in Kingsville though.

I believe it was Bushnell Secrets of the Hunt. If you E mail them maybe they can help you. It was last week when I saw the episode.
