I, too am in NE FL. You can expect the rut to be barely noticeable this year. I wouldn't even try to look for it. Just hunt as best you can. Good luck.

I spoke with the FWC biologist at Raiford WMA. He said were are in the peak of the rut starting today and it goes for a month. He also told me that some deer started two months ago and some will go for another two months.
Can you imagine the rut taking 4-5 months? It sure isn't exciting this year!
