To bad that the state is to gooned up that there is not enough dnr officers in the state to do it. Last time I talked to the local dnr officer about how much coverage they have to cover or what is theirs each . his answer was about 4 to 5 counties.

I wish they would do the same in Northern Wisconsin. Folks up there would not know what to do
then.

Yeah - I was kinda thinking the same thing but didn't want to write it. Not everyone that baits is an "idiot" or anything - but I do think many guys will have a rood awakening when they can no-longer just hang a stand in a random location and dump a bag of carrots! Should beinteresting this year!

There's some interesting discussion on michigan-sportsman.com right now regarding this. Seems that effective immediately, permits are available to private land owner to eradicate deer in the "hot zone".

The hot zone is a 79 square mile radius around the point which the deer was found. 300 deer will be culled from this area ASAP for testing. If it's found in the wild deer, more drastic culling will take place.

Michigan DNR should research what happened in Wisconsin regarding CWD. They screwed that up good!

hehehe....... This should be interesting to say the least. We'll see what comes of all this. I know a handful of guys right now who will not stop baiting and if I find them doing it Ill turn their a$$es in forsure. We should never overlook the laws let alone this one.

To me its just too bad it took CDW to start us headed in the right direction.
