4 lux, found it. Does anyone have any experience with this cam???

Todd or Stick, what type of decks, rewinders and players am I going to need also.

This is going to be a 6K investment when I am all done. I hope this years footage is worth it. Also I am leaning toward HD myself, do you think its worth it?

No idea. I'd get the PD-170 if I were you. A camera that takes great footage, and isn't HD - which isn't a problem for many years to come!

Don't buy a camera from any discount place. It's a re-ferb camera with NOTHING else. It's a farse.

Buy a used one - around $1500-1,800 usually with some gear included.

If you haven't already, check out B&H Photo/Video. Good prices and great customer service.

Jason, Just get yourself a used PD 170 and youll be golden man! Unless you have to have a new cam or you feel you really want an HD. Id personally just get the PD and use the left over to get accessories. JMO Its your dime man but you wont be under cammed with a PD.

Thanks Pass Thru, I have been looking, but I have not been able to get one yet. There doesnt seem to be a whole lot of them avail. and they get snatched up pretty quick, which assures me its a good cam.
