Default Ticks are back!!!!

Well, today I walked a good 3 solid hours - no finds except a big tick on the back of my neck when I got home! I dread the start of these darn things! Start checking boys - don't want to get lyme disease - it could really screw up the upcoming season!

I found a couple on me a couple of weeks ago when I was looking for sheds and doing some scouting, but the past two times out I havent had any on me. They would have to be my least favorite thing about turkey hunting. I hate those little buggers.

I'd rather have to pick 300 ticks off my body a day, then deal with poison ivy, ever.

There's a link within this thread Early Season Bowhunters?to an article about new studies on Lyme Disease/ticks that seems to be promising. I take the kids in the woods and I can't stand picking ticks but some of the sprays that work are too harsh for their skin, I put it on their pants legs and waistline but those nasty things end up on us every time it seems.
