Well guys and gals Tater and I made it home safe but empty handed. We passed a nice 115 8pt opening morning and saw lots of little bucks but the weather in southern Illinois was crazy. We hunted almost everyday with highs around 95-97 and one day even hit 98. Well take two fat guys and all your camo and 40 pounds of tree stands and cameras and then walk 1 mile both ways to get to your tree's and you gettwo big fat ball of sweat!!![:@]It was great to get back into the woods I just wish we had better weather!! There was a high light to the week Steve and I got access to another 40 acres across the road from our 740 and it looks really great!!! Walt

Glad you guys had a good time Wally. You did'nt miss anything here at home our weather was about the same, not quite 98 but it sure felt like that with all our gear on. 3 hunts 3 deer.

I'm on the same work-out plan. I bet I lost 5-8 lbs. in the last week! Great way to get in-shape for the rut though baby!
