Shot a big cow saturday, 150yd neck shot with my 300 win mag. Having tenderloins tonight.

Must be the long 3912 hunt. That one is almost too tempting to pass up but I always get a westside tag.

Bullkllr, if you have your AHE, it doesnt matter what side your tag is.

You still need an Eastside tag to hunt the 3911 and 3912 hunts, though many of the AHE special permits allow any tag holders to apply. Like many things from the WDFW, I have no idea why they do it this way- seems a bit inconsistent. Had my AHE since year-one btw. Has been a good deal for me in general.

No kiddin bullkllr, I thought anyone with an AHE can hunt those units. Iv talked to guys from the west side over here on this hunt so i guess they had eastside elk tags.

thats a funny lookin cow, ive been in the cattle industry for awhile now and have never seen that kind before. Hope it was a stray dont want any ranchers after you for shooting their cattle. J/K

Nice elk you will be eatin good for awhile

Hi Kirk, Good to see you other places too. As you might know,, I am in Az now. I will be back up for Turkey. Can you let Kevin know if you see any around your place. We are going to try the mini this year. And those tenderloins are no where as good as back strap!! LOL.. Talk to ya later.. Cameron
