I saw the alaska thread but am to lazy to read through all that stuff. I am in the Air Force and going to be moving to Anchorage in May and will be there for 3 years or so. I am a big hunter, fisherman, and outdoors guy. I was wondering if anyone has any pointers on where to start when I get there or if maybe I could hook up with someone there. thanks/

My husband and I moved to alaska three years ago. We've learned all we know about hunting in the area from reading the local hunting books, from the Alaska Hunting Forum, and of coarse from trial and error. Check out the Hunting forum, they have archives of any and all questions you can think of.
