Default Wyoming Mule Deer Hunt Trip Help

Good morning. We have a trip booked through Seven J Outfitters and will be hunting mule deer in Gillette, WY October 16-21,2002. We are thinking about flying in to Denver and then driving up to Gillette. The outfitter also suggested flying in to Rapid City, SD and then driving over. What would you suggest? I'd like to take the scenic route myself, but also want to be aware of the weather, etc... Any notable points of interest would be most appreciated.

Thank you,

If it were me I'd fly to Rapid City SD and come thru the Black Hills.

Billings MT would be better than Denver.

Denver would be about a 8 to 10 hr drive. Rapid City and Billings would be 3 to 4 hrs (my guess)

for every law thats passed - alittle freedom dies

Rapid City would be the best bet. I hunt a private ranch in Sundance,Wy. We will be driving out from North Carolina on the 06 NOV 2002 if we draw this year. The weather can be unpredictible at this time; GO PREPARED FOR SNOW.... In 2000 in Sundance we were hit with 30 inches on opening day......
