Elk, where to shoot them and will this work?

I got my cow on a spine shot. She didn't move 1 foot from where I hit her. But a spine shot is hard to get (luck on my part) so a heart/lung is the way to go.

Right behind the front shoulder will always do the trick. I took a young bull last year with a head shot but wouldn't recommend that to anyone unless they feel totally comfortable making that shot. Good luck.....
