When I first went there to have my Mathews restrung 4 years ago, there was an older gentleman there who bent over backwards to help me. I went back 2 years ago and he wasn't there; I didn't get a reasonable asnswer as to why. But, even though I had phoned in advance to ask them if they could so some things for me on a particular day (I'm 140 miles away), I got a real snotty attitude from them when I arrived and very reluctant service. I'm not interested in going back again.

I just wish there was a shop in the area that carried good gear and were nice

Thumbs up Sva

I've been there maybe 12-15 times since 2001 when I bought my first mathews bow. Service and friendliness has been all over the map depending on how busy they are with customers/archers and who I actually got to deal with. I have felt both like a stranger one time and a welcome customer another. When they know you are seriously looking to buy a new bow they obviously are more helpful. Sometimes I just stop in to test fire the hot new bows to see if they are that much better than what I have.
I can say that Josh and the other guys I've dealt with are very knowledgeable in their equipment, tuning & setup and haven't pushed me into any certain brand or model. They always let me shoot all the different bows in order to form my own opinions while giving me the pro's and con's of each. As a pro shop I would recommend them for knowledge and inventory. I have dealt with pro shops and technicians far inferior to SVA over the years. I feel like I can trust them to give me right answers and advice.
