I'd take an owl hooter, crow call, or something like that along with me scouting, Westurk, but I'd leave the turkey call at home. You might rustle up a gobble or two if you can do a good imitation of a 'yote.

I do envy you, however - I hunt Oregon, too, but I don't get down there until right before the season opens and I never get a chance to scout ahead of time. Its a bummer trying to figure out where the birds are once the season opens instead of being in the right place from the beginning! Good luck finding your birds.
