ATTN California game-getters.
How do you think the drought this year will affect the upcoming fall hunting season in this state?
This pertains to big game, small game, birds and waterfowl.
My guess is that birds and ducks will be affected because farmers will make fewer grain crops this year because of the water shortage so their will be less cover and feed to draw doves, quail, grouse, partridge and so forth. There will be less cover for pheasant too, I would think.
How deer, varmints and rabbit will be affected, I don't know.
Oh, I hope you all had a Hoppy Easter, speaking of bunnies.
