Go past the Arapaho Arm of Granby Res until you get to the parking lot for Monarch Lake. That sits in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area. Hike in along the left hand side of Monarch until you get to the creek that feeds it. Continue on the trail towards Gourd Lake (about a 4 mile hike). That area sits just outside the border of Rocky Mountain National Park. Lot of good elk and deer up there and quite a few bear too. It doesn't get hunted too hard but be warned it is spooky rough country and since it is wilderness area anything you shoot needs to be brought out by horse or packframe.
