I hope you're out today. I went scouting, and heard lots of bugles, and cow chirps. Beautiful day.

We heard some very...and I mean VERY poor "bugles" from our camp last weekend. Even my son said, "that is not even close to a bugle...what are they doing?"

I just got home from up there. One small bull and 13 deer. I heard 1 at daybreak and that was it. Didn't see an animal after 9am today.

The elk were going nuts up there this morning. Saw a 6x7, 6x6 bull and 2 cows. Had both bulls within 75 yards but didn't give me a shot. Ended up killing a cow at 30 yards. They responded to the bugle and squeeze call.

Congrats C-rad! I tried up by Signal Butte out of Divide for a change of scenery and saw/heard nothing other than a couple pesky dirt bikes on my way out. That is probably it for my season as I work or have school all next week.

OTC bovine the best elk you'll ever eat! LOL
