There are more road hunters northwest of Walden than anywhere I've ever hunted elk before. They see nothing and those of us who hit the heavy timber see elk. Don't necessarly get them but we see them.

Try unit 55. It's a maze of dirt roads, and ATV trails.

A lot more gas being burned there than boot soles.
